Must be robust and made of metal.
Must be able to attach an electronic buzzer so that when the till is open for more than 20 seconds the buzzer is sounded.
The cash drawer must be capable of being locked, but not capable of being unlocked with a key (i.e., double locked). An internal mechanism is required to unlock the cash drawer in the case of malfunction. This facility must be located within the drawer and plated over and should only be accessible by removing the plate with a screwdriver or allen key.
The plastic inserts must be removable and be fitted with spring-loaded note retainers. There should also be separate sections for coins.
The cash drawer should also be capable of being secured to the work surface (i.e., bolted down).
