Membership Information

Once you have completed the contact form sent from your WORK email address, we will fast track your membership to the IHSM. If you want to download a copy of the membership pack, please click here



Upon approval of your membership and receipt of your subscription, you will receive a membership pack. This will include a copy of our constitution, your membership certificate, and a special link which will enable you to access the restricted area of the website. In addition you will also benefit from the following complimentary features.

  • Access to our exclusive databases.
  • Links to events.
  • Endorsed suppliers.
  • Product reviews.
  • Exclusive presentations at our regular meetings.
  • Archives of our circulations are available

How To Become a Member

1. Send an email to the Secretary using the contact page requesting a membership pack.
2. Your status will checked and if appropriate a membership pack will be delivered to you.
3. You can register on the website for limited access to files and documents.
4. Once your membership has been confirmed, you will be issued with a user name and password to access our databases.
5. You will then receive full details on the full workings of the Institute of Hotel Security Management.


Currently Full membership is £55 per annum and Associate membership is £20 per annum.  Dependant upon your job description and geographical location a decision would be made regarding which membership you should hold.

Gallery And Database

Members get access to the gallery where we show the latest offenders and crimes in action. To access this you must be a member of the IHSM, have a legitimate login and been given clearance to access the files. All access is subject to the normal non - disclosure agreement.
